Tight hips every run? It may be a strength and control problem, not a stretching one

I'll show you live how I train hip rotation so your hips can handle the miles, and you don't need to be a gym person.

Tuesday at 7:00 PM ET

Live for about an hour. The replay stays up for 48 hours.

Three things I'll show you live

  • Why tight hips are often a strength and control problem, not a flexibility one

  • The hip rotation work I use with the runners I coach

  • How to fit it into your week without adding a gym day

Is this for you?

This is for you if…

  • You run and your hips feel tight, again and again
  • You stretch and foam roll, and the tightness keeps coming back
  • You want to keep running for years, not weeks

This is NOT for you if…

  • You want a quick fix with no work
  • You're not planning to run
  • You're looking for a diagnosis. This is a class, not a visit

WHO'S TEACHING IT

Hey, I'm JT!

I'm a physical therapist (DPT, OCS) in East Nashville, and I've spent six years working with runners and lifters.

Over and over, I hear the same thing: my hips are tight, so I stretch, and it comes back.

Often, the hip isn't short. It's missing strength and control in rotation.

Once you train that, a lot of runners find the tightness stops being the main story.

So I made this class to show you how I think about it, step by step.
